This is perfect. The first line shocks the heart into hearing, feeling, what's coming... for most of us have rolled by a song (and we know that the middle line can be bliss or blast). Then you take us to the ache, feeling our strings pull through our ears... pushed back into the moment certain song turned past into the present again. That aching fire, that never truly dies...
This is such a beautiful haiku. Memories of snow often recall other events too. As for me our first daughter was born at home in January in England with snow on the ground with the midwife getting me to be her assistant!
Beautiful!❤️ Sometimes a song can trigger certain emotions we didn't know that we were holding back. Thank you so much for participating!
ReplyDeleteShort and sweet. "Sadness like soft falling snow"...I love this. So deeply true.

ReplyDeletelovely - and so perfectly evocative in the slow dropping as feelings linger ...
ReplyDeleteI can relate to this. Sometimes, the wrong song is played at the perfect time. Simultaneously melancholy and content, your words strike a chord.
