he loved
her
nz honey
meditating
earth colours
the old shine on
brass ink pots

she
his forbidden love
liked to watch
the battering
of the sea against stones
on the shoreline

both hold on to

Music

there are no words

that can ferry one
to the dark abyss
to the depths of sadness
of a broken heart
of the death of a soulmate
of a betrayal so shattering
it turns your face from the light
and closes your eyes forever

it takes  the tears of a guitar

Sunday Whirligig

body bird bent shades echoes mirrors
scent softness crown snaring empty blind

like a delicate bird
mirror'd scented softness
shades and echoes of love
for young albert

he
empty  intent bent
on a snaring a crown
soon found himself
completely blindly
in love with her

Brescianello - Sinfonia for Strings and Basso continuo in F-Major, Op. 1...

Today I received a reply email from a friend who has been very ill. He said he read my words over and over again and his last words were " I'm happy " ! The first movement of this sinfonia expresses the joy I felt at his response

one of life's great joys
to make you happy- my words
wrapped in lots of love

How Lovely are Thy Dwellings - Westminster Abbey Choir

feeling faint from hunger
thirsty for counsel
wandering through the wilderness
darkness enveloping the soul
the enemy closing ranks
in the northern city
when everything appears
to be without hope
fear not
thy shepherd is the Lord
do good works
give thanks
praise be to God
Deo Gratias

Sunday's Whirligig
thanks wilderness hungry thirst works darkness
counsel praise enemy north city fainted
