Francis Cabrel - Je l'aime a mourir [Lyrics]

it's your birthday
a lot of changes in 6 years
from mauritian swamps
to beanstalks
from benedictions to tangos
from zapping around in a french motor
to lying gravely ill in a hospital bed

i hope you are surrounded
by all the love you richly deserve
on this your special day and all days

may God bless you always
and keep you safe

Sunday's Whirligig

woodland pool edge drift lover passion
count find twilight wheeling wander lighter

 twilight in the woodland
at the pool's edge
her thoughts drift lighter now
cart wheeling in her head
her mind wandering
she wanted to find a lover with passion
someone charming and generous
someone who did not count
the bill 100 times
before he paid the waiter

gossamer wing'd
spindly blue beauty
takes a break

the pause
in a dragonfly's glide
noon shadows

Full Circle

rainbow  autumn seagull
crane cherry blossom love
sunflower blues sky clouds
butterfly nectar beer

a double rainbow
putting on an autumn show
for the lone seagull

a crane flies
with a cherry blossom sprig
love in  pastel pink

the sunflower
stands tall against the blue sky
blocking out the clouds

a butterfly
floats on the nectar froth
of a cold beer
