these pearls and gems
found in cuckoo bud and cowslips
you drop into my lap
from time to time with rapt heart
dissolve
with the first pelt of a spring rain
thou with thy sharp and sulphurous bolt
sometimes cloaked in soft myrtle
can make no din which will daunt mine ears
love is a smoke raised with a fume of sighs
Day 27
Looking Back
if
you do look back
you could find yourself
submerged in salt
paralysed
standing alone
like a pillar
amongst
some ancient ruins
thinking a Lot
Day 28 Bridge
tin tin likes to dance
snowy his dog does too
tin tin loves his little dog
his best friend through and through
he sings to him in french
and sits him on a bench
when he goes out daily to work
snowy cries and goes beserk
barking barking barking
a disturbance of the peace
the angry neighbours roar and shout
and finally call the police
Day 29 What Nobody Knows
letting the last dream go
they have all gone
she does not miss them
they weighed her down
like a mill stone
watching the grass grow
is not so bad
there is a lot of activity
amongst the blades
a whole secret life
Day 30
now we are at april's end
i don't feel sad or mad or zen
the month rushed by in such a haze
my writing just a word mash maze
have no idea of what i wrote
or if it may have rocked the boat
but that is where my pen excels
i'm told i do it very well:)
( cheers to anyone who read them)
you may be a gorgeous young intern
a heroine to some
but all this incessant
pelvic pillow bouncing
you are recommending
is not going to change the syzygy
of the sun moon and the earth
or indeed cure anything
most of your geriatric patients
will just emit gaseous disapproval
and would rather smother themselves
than participate
in these sublimation exercises of yours
Day 21
Erasure
sweet thing
i drown an eye
unused to flow
i weep and grieve
while i think on thee
dear friend
On Asparagus
i felt
these hints of rainbows
these blue evening shades
transforming my chamber pot
into a bower of aromatic perfume
Day 22 Human Nature
you ladle out love
in small tea spoons
just enough to keep her
from getting over you
her suffering feeds your cruelty
your need
is greater than hers
Day 23
a pretty widow
preferred
her roses
at malmaison
to her short swarthy military husband
he grew on her eventually
he grew away from her eventually
she then became crazy about him
bien sur
then he divorced her
then he showed renewed interest in her
his name on her lips when she died
her name on his lips when he died
les francaises pffft !!!
" alone again naturally"
Day 24
my life is
a tapestry of moments
the daily rituals
are my favourite
i have everything
yet
you only see nothing
Day 25
Shadorma
i am here
you are over there
all too late
i'm sorry
no return passage this time
you have missed the boat
