Wordle MLMM # 273

this was their favourite holiday place

the kids had been building a snowman

all afternoon

some louts sidled by and jumped on it

crunch

throwing lumps of coal  at the  windows

as well

fisticuffs followed

the older man won

a hardened ex boxer hired

as a security guard

a shocked guest

sitting nearby

spilt her coffee

which drenched her woolly mittens

as she nervously searched in her bag for a smoke

drama was  an impediment to this lady's newly acquired

very expensive face lift and her post op recovery

she had come here to convalesce

there are those who spoil

everything for others

happens too often

This week's words:

lift impediment smoke drench mittens wool sit guest coffee harden

fists man older crunch coal place snowman hire jump follow

Inspiration Indeed

wild horses would not keep her

from attending one of his concerts

his playing is divine

his inner spirit soars like a phoenix

who would have thought that hidden

underneath the blonde bird's nest hair

lies a superior brain and musical talent

a fitness freak  who  surfs and  hikes

and likes drinking chicory with ice cream

she hopes he continues to be a major player

fights his way to the hilltop

in the vast clearing of classical pianists

a tough climb

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Inspiration Point" by Jennifer Jean: horses, hope, divine, clearing, hike, hilltop, bird, vast, hid, chicory, phoenix, inner

 cool

he sends her purple lilacs

when she is in a funk

i think he likes her

he said her disheveled haircut

made her look like

a straw scarecrow

what a mouth

 CINQUAINS

oh my

they are nice specs

her dad use to wear those

she liked men who wore specs

she thought she could trust them - not true

at all

someone

dropped their glasses

who put them on a branch?

must be a kind person out there

somewhere

they say

love is so blind

without specs it would be

a good reason for wearing them

methinks

to see

or not to see

that is the  big question

whether to observe warts n all

or not

Gabriel Fauré - Sicilienne, for cello & piano, Op. 78

 wistful

 a reverie

a love affair on a page

flies away

in a gust of wind

leaving a trail of sorrow

behind

A Poetry Game for Open Link Weekend # 101 Earthweal

How Many Musical Terms can you find ?

the Busoni boys went to sea
in a beautiful pea green boat
in search of tierce de picardie
an island in the legato sonata sea

inhabited mostly by poets and musicans
it was owned by Major 3rd who won it
in a poker game from his cousin Crescendo
now diminuendo'd from too much
vino and vivace

for a while all went well
until dissonance broke out with too many disputes
beween the neapolitan 2nds and the french 6ths
and prestissimo partying by exuberant poets con brio
the neighbouring islanders complained
allegro is fine
ma non troppo

the Busoni Boys decided to leave
they crammed violin cases with tutti and brass
and made plans to rendez vous with the gorgeous grace note gals
Mogadonna Coloratura, Courtney Act Concerto and Fairy Moans Finale
at Coda island owned by Bessie May Mucho and Barbara Seville

Mr Blue... Michael Franks

We touched like watercolour fawns
In landscapes painted by Cezanne
Like lovers floating painted by Chagall

                                 Chagall

But you and I were you-I then
We thought the rush would never end
We thought the sky, the sky would never fall
We lived we loved we laughed we cried
We'll never die, and now I think of you
And I change right into Mr Blue
You say your lover buys you lace
I say he's fine, I like his face
I guess you still think love will conquer all
I know, but it's not what you think
I only hope it stays in sync
I only want, I want to wish you well

Shadorma

dont feel blue
dont feel too too sad
it's hard times
it's tough times
for all of us at this moment
keep well keep loving

Whirligig # 351

the hush of late night

plaintive sound

of a dove lost

morning

we wake to

a cacophany of bird calls

tips of new leaves

appear in the pot plant

in the hallway

how is this possible

no one waters it

maybe a good sign

 the invisible monster

makes note of today's numbers

entering the valley of death

let's hope God hears our prayers

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "For the New Year" by W.S. Merwin: valley, dove, appear, leaves, hush, sound, hears, hopes, invisible, possible, tips, calls
