Carpe Diem # 1670

evening sea fog
descending into sun-dried grass
sweaty lovers

Jane Reichhold

crabs scuttle across the rocks
ignoring giggles and gasps

the grass sways in the breeze
seagulls cry leaving foot prints
patterns on the sand
it's getting cold the sun has set
a sinking sadness at twilight

Portrait

Titian

a lifetime ago
i used to visit  you a lot
you were
the best part of my day
in that bleak wonderful city

i've looked for you
in many other places
over the years but
you have never crossed my path
i don't expect to anymore

you are still special to me
my pale beauty
in your quilted blue
with your finely sculpted aquiline nose

i remember you
i still miss you
and
i would like see you once more

some are favoured
rules don't apply to them
i'd like to know what that feels like
just once

The color and scent of the wisteria
