Carpe Diem # 1670

evening sea fog
descending into sun-dried grass
sweaty lovers

Jane Reichhold

crabs scuttle across the rocks
ignoring giggles and gasps

the grass sways in the breeze
seagulls cry leaving foot prints
patterns on the sand
it's getting cold the sun has set
a sinking sadness at twilight

  1. I like the continuation of Jane's haiku, with the cabs, giggles and gasps. I also like the seagulls and their footprint patterns in the sand, and the 'sinking sadness at twilight' made me shiver.
