Wordle Week 76

MLMM

sterile sombre dull barley soup sterile sanatorium
rivulets volitant precarious file embasan

the curmudgeoningly nasties
led sterile boring sombre lives
dull as thick barley soup

the butt
of their rivulets of
petty malice and vicious attacks
was the vivacious miss vera volitante

living a precarious existence
frantically rushed off her feet
she barely had the time to  file her nails
or reapply her lipstick
let alone exact retribution
feeling a lot of the time
like a looney embasan escaped
from the sanatorium

still
would rather walk in her shoes
than trudge a second in their jack boots

Convergences...Donald Hall
An erasure poem

she hears with dread
smothers under water
an old man finds his cane wanting
hobbles the pond's swart water
imagines his house disguised
within the poem
he and she converge
into flesh of vowels
into uncanny affection

Ali Goes To The Seaside

3WW...rampant menacing  unravel

Adieu Palmyra

 ali feels enervated
 takes a lot of energy
smashing up 2000 years of antiquities
 those rampant pagan
world heritage listed buildings
pose a menace evidently

now off to the seaside to unwind
unravel the frayed nerve endings
relax a bit from the deafening sounds
of bombs and hammering of sculptures

dreams of soaking his tired limbs and turban
in the cool sea
hoping it would not be still blood soaked
from the morning's beheadings

Gainsbourg:

Sunday Whirligig 20

mariachis mortuary meth maybe missed mouths
magician many mutants midnight motor more

no  mortuary for these many  missed parents
magically annihilated by the midnight mutants
struttin' and puffin' in their jack boots and stahlhelm
riding zundapp motor bikes

no crystal meth for this lot just zyklon B crystals
as jews lay open mouthed on the shower room floor
more corpses for the ovens

the surviving fragile children
play with the fervour of mariachis
on their balalaikas and fiddles
some day they will smile again -  maybe
