Bach - Partita No. 1 in B-flat major, BWV 825 (Maria João Pires)

Weekly Scribblings # 57 ..

Prompt :  Magaly Guerrero

as the rain pelts down in the late afternoon

they sit making salad listening to the bach partitas

in their pretty beach side flat looking out to

a mini forest of palms on the balcony

it doesn't get much better than this he said

she half smiles and slices  the red peppers

Jean Pierre Bacri 1951 - 2021

Il avait le sens de la fête et le goût des autres. Jean-Pierre Bacri, le plus tendre de nos râleurs s’en est allé. Comme une image, son humanité laconique et sensible continuera de peupler nos vies.

Carpe Diem # 1843 - Troiku Challenge

roaring down the beach
the surf patrol unload their boat
for the rescue

at the height of winter waves
they slice through the swell
to reach the swimmers

mist clouds
hang low in the pewter sky
drowning not waving

Sunday Whirligig # 303

the uncut grass
the overgrown garden
riddled with ants and worms
the old tin shed buckled by rain and wind
held together by rusty wire and  chains
the remains of birds nests in the guttering
this is what she had inherited
the whispering  ghost reminded her that
beggars cant be choosers
really ?  well this one can
so she threw the keys into the field
and drove off

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Ode on an Abandoned House" by Hayan Charara: wind, rain, keys, held, inherit, whispering, ants, worms, birds, uncut, overgrown, buckled
