Wordle 178 - MLMM

1. Cancer 2. Fairy 3. Sideways 4. Farfetched 5. Chamomile 6. Bleach

7. Assure 8. Granite 9. Supression 10 Transparent 11. Layogenic 12. Autophobia

sounds farfetched
something the suppressed cassandra fairy would say
but
hair bleach can give you cancer
be assured blondes don't have more fun
that is transparently obvious
they are often layogenic
(up close they wouldn't get a sideways glance)
 autophobic insecure and needy

so

make a cup of chamomile tea for yourself
in your nice granite bench topped  kitchen
and be happy you are a mousey brunette
with a boring accountant for a husband
things could be worse

Core Beliefs

i am here
to know and love God
through his magnificent
earthly creations

should i walk in the valley of darkness
i fear no evil
i am blessed
i am not alone
i am loved
because
my shepherd is the Lord

there is nothing i shall want
fresh and green are the pastures
where he gives me repose
near restful waters he leads me
to revive my drooping spirit

i give thanks for all i have been given
and pray that all those suffering
will  find comfort and peace

Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing

Sunday's Whirligig 150

standing in the mall
looking at a map
knowing there was nowhere to go
settling for crumbs
loneliness everywhere
the living wage inadequate
cost of an internet device exorbitant
not a lot of loving or justice in this world
on balance
what  is the point to any of it

This week's words come from the poem "On the General Being of Lostness " by Jeff Latosik

mall standing loneliness loving balance point
nowhere map wage device knowing crumbs

Sundays Whirligig 148

a still life painting
a cup of coffee
your hand in mine
you soften my sadness
even after all these years

the buildings came
crashing down on us
numb with pain
we picked ourselves up
dusted ourselves off
began the climb back to the
top of the mountain
the road longer harder

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Wanting it Darker" by Ben Ladouceur: coffee, mountain, painting, longer, soften, sad, numb, still, even, buildings, hand, each

Paolo Conte - vieni via con me

a lawyer by trade
at 70 paolo
became a pop star

Via via
Vieni via di qui
Niente piu' ti lega a questi luoghi
Neanche questi fiori azzurri

Via via
Neanche questo tempo grigio
Pieno di musiche
E di uomini che ti son piaciuti

It's wonderful
It's wonderful
It's wonderful
Good luck my baby

It's wonderful
It's wonderful
It's wonderful
I dream of you

Via via
Vieni via con me
Entri in questo amore buio
Non perderti per niente al mondo

Via via
Non perderti per niente al mondo
Lo spettacolo d'arte varia
Di uno innamorato di te

It's wonderful
It's wonderful
It's wonderful
Good luck my baby

It's wonderful
It's wonderful
It's wonderful
I dream of you

Via via
Vieni via con me
Entra in questo amore buio
Pieno di uomini

Via via
Entra e fatti un bagno caldo
C'è un accappatoio azzurro
Fuori piove, è un mondo freddo

Ah, it's wonderful
It's wonderful
It's wonderful
Good luck my baby

It's wonderful
It's wonderful
It's wonderful
I dream of you

Aled Jones - Sundays Whirligig 147

For My Grandmother And My Great Aunt

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Peering Up From Mud" by Margarita Engle: frogs, beauty, pretend, stars, moonlight, pass, sing, flashing, see, taste, clear, air

frogs croak in the moonlight
i see the stars passing flashing in the milky way
pretend i can touch them with my finger tips
a taste of beauty on the plains
whilst the lark in the clear air
sings thousands of miles away

“If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.” ~ Eleonora Duse

Why?

The Skyscrapers Towered Reflective Against The Ruddy Clouds

people work in them
people live in them
people consider it a pinnacle of success
to be part of the gold plated tap
horror culture
in blowing your own trumpet towers

millions of  tourists visit them
and gasp in awe
at the testament to progress

as i sit on a deserted beach
white sand slipping through my fingers
pondering the waves
incredulous
i ask myself
why?

waiting for the clouds to leave
stubborn they stayed all night
so she stayed in bed all day
