hears dread smothers cane hobbles swart
wanting disguise poem vowels imagines uncanny

An erasure poem

she hears with dread
smothers under water 
an old man finds his cane wanting
hobbles the pond's swart water
imagines his house disguised
within the poem
he and she converge
into flesh of vowels
into uncanny affection
