Convergences...Donald Hall
An erasure poem
she hears with dread
smothers under water
an old man finds his cane wanting
hobbles the pond's swart water
imagines his house disguised
within the poem
he and she converge
into flesh of vowels
into uncanny affection
What a wonderful convergence of word and thought
ReplyDeleteOne of the strangest thing in love and affection is the uncanny attraction one has for the other.
