italian family at sunday lunch
hats and hair nets white table napkins soup
minnestrone again crusty bread crunch
a cheap modest meal to feed all the troops
papa is grumpy and mama is mad
carlo is sulky a bit of a cad
all in all they seem contented enough
making do and frugal without much stuff
Oh, I do remember Sundays at my Grandparents who hailed from Piedmont. A special event each week. I'm hungry now!
