April 2016 has come and gone
i'll remember this one
neptune
swirling me about
throwing me in the air
catching me on his trident
midnight moon tripping
in seattle
deep sea diving
with the mermaids
teaching sailors to swim
walking the plank
at the end of a pirate's cutlass
it's been a sea odyssey
until next year
arrivederci
(same time same place)
The constellations
ReplyDeleteare different for hemispheres,
but if you train your eyes
carefully, you can see
Sinbad the Sailor gleefully
chasing his water-spirit
across the sky.
You see,
she owes him a dance,
and he is eager to collect
her into his arms
and spin her across
the Milky Way.
They tend to align in April.
