DAY 27...SISTERS RENOIR
often wondered
about this title
about this title
all made clear
when you disclosed your secret to me
years ago
when you disclosed your secret to me
years ago
no
they are not sisters
they are not sisters
FINE KNACKS FOR LADIES
dinner parties
must have been great fun
in elizabethan times
we have lost a lot
DAY 29
a unique blue velvet voice
melting hearts softening souls
world wide acclaim
yet imprisoned because she was
the wrong colour
shameful
shameful
DAY 30
these little french boys
hatching a plot
grandads now
some have passed
a baguette without wrapping
thing of the past
a more innocent time
yesterday when i was young
hatching a plot
grandads now
some have passed
a baguette without wrapping
thing of the past
a more innocent time
yesterday when i was young

I would never have guessed!
ReplyDeleteIntriguing!
ReplyDeleteWe both chose Ella! I love that you describe her voice as ‘blue velvet’. Ella and Billie were both victims of racism, yet we remember them mainly for their voices.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about Ella's imprisonment. Shameful indeed!
ReplyDeleteThank you for lovely Charles Aznavour, an old love of mine. And for the photo of the little boys. And for the nostalgic poem!
