 Earthweal OLW # 162

A four-stanza PANTOUM is common (although more may be used), and in the final stanza, lines one and three from the first stanza can be repeated, or new lines can be written. The pantoum form is as follows:[1]

I know the words of this song

must have been on the radio

my italian is not so good

i must have been about six

Stanza 2
B
E
D
F

that song was so joyous and fantastico

it made me want to dance

skipping round with clapping sticks

at the top of my voice singing

Stanza 3

E
G
F
H

she looks cute in those leopard skin pants

we'll make her a movie star

my mother  says laughing and cringing

placing her hands over her ears

Stanza 4

G

I (line A or C )

H

J (line  A or C )

yes ....she will go far

as far as she wants to

she will have no fear

we will back her

  1. Reminds me of Cat Steven's song, "Teach your children." My memory is COVID-19 shot, I have to google it now for all the words, I do and will always remember these, "... your father's hell." So was mine, I won't forget.
You did well with the form's rhyming scheme.
