Whirligig # 362

 a little bird

cradled her head

 in her wings

sitting on a branch

on this dark cold windy night

the streets were empty

everyone tucked up in bed asleep

except for the old chimney sweep

dozing in his finger painted clunker

homeless

the train's sad whistle wailed in the distance

this has all got to change

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Touch Cave" by Erika Meitner:

bird  cradle wings sit sweep finger change train streets everyone bed wind
