as the rain pelts down in the late afternoon
they sit making salad listening to the bach partitas
in their pretty beach side flat looking out to
a mini forest of palms on the balcony
it doesn't get much better than this he said
she half smiles and slices the red peppers

ReplyDeleteI agree with Rosemary. At first, I thought, This is the "or not" part for sure. So heartwarmingly sweet! But then I read it again, and the eeriness of the setting, the sound of knife hitting cutting board, the rain, her silence... makes me wonder.
