Whirligig # 403

THIS WEEK'S WORDS come from "Winter: A Dirge" by Robert Burns: hail, rain, sleet, bank, beast, bird, heartless, joyless, soothes, request, resign, fancy

 hail rain sleet

banks of snow everywhere

heartless joyless season

for man bird and beast

fancy some soothing sunshine

request a transfer or

resign and move to a warm climate

then you can complain about the heat

  1. Isn't that the truth! Human nature seems to be to complain about whatever conditions are!

  2. It's always either too hot or too cold. This poem made me smile at human folly.
