kids were
very well mannered
good handwriting
good written expression
product of
a simpler gentler time
now days written expression
not as good
but kids - much more confident
with higher expectations
however
in all of these letters
they all reveal themselves
to be children
sweet lovely children
something
that time does not change

DeleteA friend of mine was a Santa at the Mall...kids brought him letters all the time and told him what they wanted. What broke his heart were these young children who should be innocent writing, I want daddy to stop beating us, Food would be nice!, not to live in a car....but the fun letters made me smile. Yes! Bring Leonardo DiCaprio and Keanu Reeves to my house.
