Good Bye April

the years are whizzing by
we've been doing this thing
for the past four years
moon dancing in the sky

last year you wore a tuxedo
looking suave and no one sleeker 
this year you wore a blue satin coat
with a russian bear  hat and sneakers

your poured some shots of baileys
a whiskey laced  irish cream
you danced right off the planet
whirling in  white hot  steam




and as you started swinging
from the crystal chandeliers
i said hey you'd better cool it
this is all going to end in tears
