as she lay napping under the yew
a spray of prickly pssticisms
and expletives followed
dross - harbinger of gloom
she blamed him
he blamed the bears
inwardly he smiled
resentful of having to trudge
all the way out here
on yet another nature trip
he had other ideas of
discovery of nature
his own nature taking priority
Luckily my wife had no desire to go camping (and I won't say here should couldn't 'bear' the the thought) as she knew the value of home comforts and my experience of it as a teen was not favourable either.
