the country woman enjoyed
humming to herself
doing needlework mending
playing dominoes
nibbling olives sipping port
lying on her sheep skin rug by the fire
these things were derided by the others
who mocked her
laughed at her
calling her a fool for collecting
bleached stones and driftwood
people can be destructive and cruel
possibly out of envy and self loathing
with many justifiable reasons for hating themselves
so if you fit the above description
a word of advice
rather than embracing the
"learn to be yourself " mode method of therapy
adopt the" learn to be almost anyone else " one
which may be a far better option for the people around you.
Can you teach me to be someone else? I'm eager to learn! ;)
