The Singing Lesson

dverse

i'm trying to teach him how to sing
he doesn't get it not his thing

a howl is hard to execute
more difficult  to learn than playing a flute

he plays the piano that's alright
but his howls and growls could start a fight

i keep him on cos he looks good in a suit
makes my dinner thinks i'm real cute

  5. Super cute. Guess he's just not into it, not his thing. But, I'd keep him around too.

  6. smiles... singing is not for everyone - and having someone who makes a good dinner is probably even more important

  7. Ah...really
I think you worked a little on this or maybe you really speak in rhymes and perfect iambic meter. It made me smile though. It was easy to scan (smiles).

  10. This clips right along--and probably a pretty accurate rendition of a dog's perspective. Nicely done, great fun to read!
