Brucia La Terra

he had a big heart
trusted her to keep it safe
he was like her own
she  kept him close  in  her thoughts
whispered hope  via the trade winds

Sunday Muse # 97

dear god
please don't let
the shoulder straps break
in the accelerando section

my p.r.  insisted that i wear
this inappropriate dress
said
it will distract
the audience from
any performance glitches

my career  will be ruined
if the dress falls apart
then again
future bookings may sky rocket

CARPE DIEM # 1819

moonlight swimming
in the gentle waves
naked in the mallaca straits
young carefree with new boyfriend
(holiday romance)
lanterns a feint shimmer
from the restaurant on the beach
magic

clothes left on the sand
stolen by fishermen collecting crabs
making our way to the restaurant
starkers dripping wet
tim ( still remember his name)
grabbed a white table cloth from an empty table
much to the bemusement of  the diners
wrapped us in it as we scampered laughing
back to the hotel

you are probably a greying grandad now tim
i still have photos of us from that holiday
but i cant for the life of me remember your last name

magical moments
fleeting holiday romance
will never forget

Heaven Sent

without marmalade boy
i would never have known
what unending joy was
a heaven sent creature
to teach us how to love

Carpe Diem  # 1816

orange marmalade
the  colour of love
a purring cuddly cat

Carpe Diem Wednesday Tan Renga # 15

mass of pink flowers
arching over the roadway
spring time in japan

shadows become longer
cherry tree in full bloom grows

Carpe Diem # 1817

Here are the six (6) haiku by Jane Reichhold, extracted from her online Saijiki "A Dictionary of Haiku", section Spring, sub-section Moods:

moonlight moving
with the gate as the servant girl
takes an evening

precious time for herself to
breathe in  the cool night air

Saturday rain
desire by a warm stove
for an affair

with a knight in shining amour
to free her from  drudgery

morning fog
dreams not buried
deep enough

she cleans out the fireplace
cinderella wants a fella

kids laughing
in the neighbour's house
the childless couple

a couple of poodles instead
no school fees and quiet

spring sunshine
the strangeness of his perfectly
normal thumbnail

his hands are beautiful she thought
kissing his palm mentally

waterfall
delicate forms
for a spirit

washing away the kitchen soot
cleansing healing and renewal
